Maputo, 17 July 2026 – The National Petroleum Institute (INP), acting in its capacity as Mozambique’s Petroleum Regulatory Authority, hosted a specialized capacity-building workshop on Friday for its civil servants and state agents, organized as part of its collective legal studies program and activities commemorating International Archives Day.
The initiative was designed to reinforce staff expertise regarding technical, administrative, and ethical procedures governing public service delivery within the regulatory body.
The session was facilitated by Inspector Roque Tembo from the National Commission for the Implementation of State Secrets Norms (CPISE) and Odibar Lampeão, a specialist from the Ministry of State Administration and Public Service (MAEFP).
Featuring interactive discussions and knowledge sharing between participants and facilitators, the workshop addressed critical topics such as records management and the handling of classified information—focusing specifically on state secrecy protocols, confidentiality, professional secrecy, and public sector codes of conduct.
Odibar Lampeão presented the theme "Integrity and Modernization in the Context of Public Administration Reforms, with Focus on Communication", while Inspector Roque Tembo guided the session on "Information Security Culture".
The head of the Human Resources Department of the INP, Ana Injojo, said that the initiative is part of the institution’s business plan for this year and contributes to the compliance with the rules of organization and functioning of the Public Administration, and to the improvement of staff performance. "This training is part of the activities planned for this year and reinforces the INP's commitment to improving the performance of its officials and state agents," said Ana Injojo.
Odibar Lampeão, addressing the participants, left a message of encouragement to the processes of digital transformation underway in the state apparatus. The speaker stressed that State officials and officials should not fear the introduction of new technologies into the institution. "On the contrary, these are solutions with an enormous potential to promote the speed of administrative actions, bringing direct benefits to citizens who use our services," the speaker said.
The proceedings concluded with a call to action for the responsible adoption of digital tools, strict compliance with information security frameworks, and the continuous enhancement of administrative practices aimed at operational efficiency and regulatory service excellence.
