The National Oil Institute intends to increase the knowledge and availability of areas for hydrocarbon research and development in the country.
For the materialization of this purpose the promoting body of oil operations in Mozambique has already in advanced stage of implementation a cooperation project between the INP and Core Laboratories-(CoreLab), which recommends the study of reservoir rocks and sealants. In fact, this is the complementary stage of a two-stage study, which is the second of this regional study.
This partnership will allow INP to add more optimised information and data on the blocks that have already been subject to previous calls, thereby improving the conditions for the same areas to be subject to direct trading for potential investors, in accordance with Decree 34/2015 of 31 December.
It is noted that the phase I of the project, whose focus was on the Mozambique Basin, had encouraging results and the respective reports are already available at the INP.
