It is Ancha de Sousa, Douglas Muteerwa, Hezekiah Matalhava, Ignatius Mussane and Naima Capão who have travelled 10km away, reaching the feat in less than an hour, in the category of INP employees, for both genders.
The race, by way of the first one held by the regulator of oil operations in the country, in collaboration with the Mozambican Federation of Athletics, appears in the context of the festivities of the 20 years of the foundation of the INP, having gathered on the morning of Saturday (19 August) more than 1500 runners among popular, federated and veterans.
The trigger for the shooting of the match was pressed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Nazário Bangalane, who was also responsible for the noble task of awarding awards in the company of other senior leaders of the INP and other partner institutions present there, in a climate of animation and celebration among INP employees, popular, and veteran and federated athletes.
The President of the INP, expressed his satisfaction with the event, highlighting the public's adherence. "This event is part of the celebrations of the 20 years of the INP, and we decided to unite the useful to the pleasant, associating the celebrations to health promotion," said the PCA. Bangalane added that there are plans to carry out future editions, as this first has achieved the goal.
Although parched in words but visibly satisfied by the feat, Douglas Muteerwa, one of the winners of the match, said that the prize snatched was dedicated to his peers and family, stating that the competition is an opportunity to carry out physical activities, something beneficial for everyone, while it was a time to celebrate, in a relaxed way, the anniversary of the institution to which he has been affected for nearly five years.
It should be noted that the event had a mixed component, since it made room for exhibitions of goods and services and issuing identification documents.
The National Petroleum Institute is the promoter and regulator of oil operations, created by the Council of Ministers under Decree No 25/2004 of 20 August, and this year marked two decades of growth and achievements.
